2012 SUMMER SAS COMMITTEES BY ONF… Meet Every 2nd Thursday of the month at the American Legion in Bozeman on Main, at 5:00 PM Rocky Mountain Time. For volunteers NOT in the area, please contact us about the call-in conference information for during the meetings.
NOTE: All volunteers, outfitters and guides will be invited to join ONF on Sunday, July 15th at 6:00 PM at Big Sky Resort for an educational session about "Invisible Wounds" provided by Rick Briggs of Brain Injury Association and Gallatin Mental Health.
YOU CAN HELP!
DONATE AIR MILES: Find travelers to donate their United, Delta or Alaska/Horizon Airline frequent flyer miles for wounded warrior guests to attend the SAS event.
MONEY SPONSORS: Help find sponsors to fly warriors to this event. Funding pays for their travel, food, accommodations, gifts, special needs and expenses. This is a 100% volunteer event & org. It’s costs $1,850 to sponsor 1 warrior guest.
AIR & GROUND TRANSPORTATION: Vehicle rentals and drivers are needed to transport warrior guests to and from airport, the resort and each activity. It could be up to 50 warriors plus their families attending.
HOT AIR BALLOON RALLY: Ground crew, locating/inviting pilots, accommodations, propane, basket banners, pilot prizes, incentives/competition, gas card credit contributions.
FOOD: Locate and coordinate box lunches (during rock climbs, rafting, horse riding, Yellowstone), evening meals and catering during Friday night show.
ACTIVITY COORDINATORS: Assist guides and organizations before and during activities. All event services and details are donated to warriors (families receive discounts).
REGISTRATION: Locate gifts, organize and run registration table for warrior guests and collecting cash from public at Friday night show.
FRIDAY NIGHT SHOW PROMOTION: Hanging posters in public places, advertising, community calendar announcements, press releases and talking with the press. Work on special invitations.
RAFFLE ITEMS & PRIZES: Find prizes and raffle items for warriors and the public attending the Friday night show. There will be several big drawings for our warrior guests.
GRAPHICS: Assist with website, promotional materials (posters, brochures, ads).
SOCIAL MEDIA & PR: Coordinate local and national newspaper, radio, TV before and during event.
Help write and distribute press releases, develop and manage Tweets & Facebook.
VIDEO DVD: Edit and coordinate for the new DVD production with celebs, past warrior guest testimonials and help locate video clips of activities.
CELEBRITY COORDINATOR: Research and correspond with celebrity agents for the SAS DVD.
VIDEOGRAPHERS/PHOTOGRAPHERS: Capture images during 2012 summer SAS activities.
REACH NEW WOUNDED WARRIOR GUESTS: Coordinate announcements and warrior invites.
